We are passionate in opposing systems of oppression that disproportionally disrupt the lives of Black people, Indigenous people, and other marginalized persons. We believe in family autonomy, ethical business practices, and government accountability. We are LGBTQ+ friendly and welcome people of all citizenship statuses.
A graduate of American University, Washington College of Law and University of Maryland, Charles has been practicing law since 2016. He has won cases in D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and California, specializing in family law and housing law. More recently, Charles began working on representing small businesses and providing estate planning services. He serves as a Professor at American University Washington College of Law.
Charles began his legal career representing children and families in Washington, D.C. He recognized the strength and fortitude of communities and businesses in the city. Charles represents the interests of tenants and small businesses. He moved to Los Angeles to help fight the growing homelessness crisis. While in LA, he worked with the communities in East LA, Compton, and Inglewood, representing tenants and families and hosting Know Your Rights Workshops. Charles has handled wills and trusts for clients, mediated divorces, and helped small businesses get started. He also works on contract negotiations for contractors in the DMV.
